to shack up with
Жить, сожительствовать с кем-либо. Первоначально выражение употреблялось в США и обозначало бродяг, рабочих, которые часто строили себе временные shacks (сараи, лачуги), где жили с подружкой из местных. Вошло в обиход в Англии в 1960-х гг.

He left his wife about a year ago and shacked up with a girl from Birmingham. — Он ушёл от жены около года назад и стал жить с молодой женщиной из Бирмингема.
